Why We Plant a Tree for Every Rider

Jun 10, 2025

Every time someone signs up for a Green Heart® Champions event, we plant a tree in their name. This isn’t just marketing — it’s measurable impact.

Since 2024, our “One Athlete, One Tree” initiative has planted over 5,000 indigenous trees across Kenya’s highlands, forests, and school compounds.

Why trees?

  • They restore ecosystems damaged by deforestation.
  • They absorb carbon, fighting the effects of climate change.
  • They provide food, shade, and soil stability for local communities.
  • They symbolize growth — both personal and environmental.

We work with community groups and school children to ensure every seedling is nurtured into a tree. It’s your footsteps on the trail that leave roots in the soil.

Next time you register, know that your impact goes far beyond the finish line.
